For filmmakers, the People’s Choice Film Prize is a significant accolade. It serves as direct confirmation from the most important critics—the audience—that their creation has resonated with you more than any other.

This year, we’re thrilled to introduce a new system for our Audience Awards by using Votemo, a QR code-based voting platform.

HOW IT WORKSAfter watching any of our films at the Festival, you’ll see a unique QR Code displayed onscreen. Simply scan this code to participate in a live poll, registering your vote for your favourite film of that session. No downloads are necessary, and you can cast your vote at any point during the Festival weekend. Look out for QR code details at the Rab Stand in Basecamp, as well as at the Info Desk and Box Office. When you vote, you also gain entry into our prize draw for a chance to win a Rab Neutrino Pro Jacket! Voting will close at 6:00 PM on Sunday, and we will announce the winning film at 8:15 PM during the Best of Kendal screening at the Theatre.

ONLINE FILMS We will reopen the People’s Choice voting on Monday 20 November on the Kendal Mountain Platform. This gives you a new opportunity to vote for your favourite online-available film right up until 31 December 2023. Participants in this round of voting will have the chance to win Rab kit and a £100 voucher for tickets to Kendal Mountain Festival 2024!
