Our legendary, fully accessible, free to enter, tented Basecamp Village is the heart of our Festival – our social hub where brands bring their stories to life, our stages deliver talks from everyday adventures to the icons of the world of mountaineering and exploration and there is endless excitement from being with a whole bunch of people that love and cherish the outdoors.
Basecamp can be found in Abbot Hall Park (just 3 minutes walk from the Brewery Arts Centre). Step inside and enter a one-of-a-kind destination celebrating all things outdoors! Built using reclaimed wood and dressed in prayer flags, our Basecamp is a vibrant place to catch up with old friends and make new ones over a beer and live music (have we mentioned that many a relationship has started in our Basecamp).
Entirely free to enter, Basecamp is alive with exciting activations, competitions and demonstrations from your favourite outdoor brands plus three full days of talks and panel discussions on the Cotswold Outdoor and Buff Bothy Stages. You’ll also find the Plas y Brenin Tipi with more free talks and the Outdoor Screen. There's something for all of the family and it's a place you'll find yourself returning to time and time again over the Festival weekend.
Basecamp is also where you’ll find the Info Desk where our friendly team will be able to provide updates on the talks on the Basecamp Stages, directions to venues, programme changes and any Festival general questions you might have. Lost and Found can be found here too.
