Basecamp

Our legendary, fully accessible, free to enter, tented Basecamp Village is the heart of our Festival – and this year it's bigger than ever! You can find it in Abbot Hall Park (just 3 minutes walk from the Brewery Arts Centre).

Opening Times: Friday & Saturday 9.30am - 9.30pm // Sunday 9.30am - 5.00pm

Basecamp is our social hub where brands bring their stories to life, our stages (see below) deliver talks from everyday adventures to the icons of the world of mountaineering and exploration and there is endless excitement from being with a whole bunch of people that love and cherish the outdoors.

It's also where you’ll find the Info Desk in our new Information Tipi outside the entrance to the main Basecamp marquee. Our friendly team will be able to provide updates on the talks on the Basecamp Stages, directions to venues, programme changes and any Festival general questions you might have. Lost and Found can be found here too.

And it's also where you'l find our Food & Drinks village (see below) in the outside area - the perfect place to refuel.

Basecamp Food and Drink

Need a break from all the films and talks? Then head outside to the food area at the Basecamp, grab a drink and relax. With a big canopy to protect you from the elements and plenty of outside brand entertainment it is the perfect place to rest and get ready for the events ahead.

Our cafes and bars are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything in-between.

Vegetarian and vegan available.
