We’re a small town with a big heart; our community will welcome you with open arms

Kendal is packed with intriguing history and surrounded by spectacular fells and green spaces. Our streets are alive with eateries, coffee shops, traditional pubs and hip bars.

Accommodation in Kendal

It is wise to book your accommodation well ahead of the Festival – it gets booked up very quickly in the centre of Kendal. There is a great range of options available for every budget from Kendal's vibrant youth hostel to four-star hotels.

The "Visit Kendal" website provides detailed information on accommodation options - hotels, self-catering, B&Bs, hostels and camping and caravan sites.

We also recommend looking at self-catering properties, guest houses, and hotels in the Lake District and combining our Festival with the spectacular scenery of our local fells and lakes.

Looking to hire a campervan for the weekend? Try Camplify - one of the largest and most trusted campervan and motorhome sharing communities globally.

Bendrigg Lodge, about 15 minutes drive from Kendal in Old Hutton, has some rooms available to book, including some accessible options. Full details are on their website where you can click on the individual room options.

Looking for campsite ideas? You can book a space at Kendal’s Dojo Club or look on UKCampsite and campsites.co.uk.

We kindly ask that Festival attendees are considerate of local residents and businesses. Please only park campervans in approved locations, book in advance and be careful never to block roads and gateways.
