The Photography Competition Shortlist!

The Kendal Mountain Festival Photography Competition 2025 aims to showcase exceptional images from around the world, celebrating the unique power of a single photograph to inspire, challenge, and spark reflection.

These shortlisted images have been decided by a panel comprising members of the Kendal Mountain Festival team and representatives from the competition's brand sponsors, SportsShoes and GoodRays.

Category winners will receive prizes provided by our partners, and their work will be featured at the festival.

KENDAL TRAIL RUNS - ENTRIES NOW OPEN!

Taking place over the bustling Kendal Mountain Festival weekend, the popular not-for-profit adidas TERREX Kendal Trail Run and The North Face Kendal Skyline Ultra offer trail lovers and Festival goers their fix of fresh air, fells and Lake District weather.

With 10km and 50km distances over grassy and undulating trails, these courses pack a punch whilst being runnable and offering fantastic views over Kendal and the surrounding Lake District fells.

Between February and May each year, we package up the spirit of ‘Kendal’ and go on Tour around the UK - as we genuinely love taking our stories on the road!
