We are working to make our Festival fully accessible.

Wheelchair users

There are dedicated spaces reserved for wheelchair users in our venues.  Some preparation may be required to ensure all is set up for you on arrival, and therefore we ask you to let Box Office staff know when booking your ticket. To buy advance tickets for a wheelchair space (and seats alongside, if required) please call Box Office on 01539 725133.

Car Parking

Vehicle access to the Brewery Arts Centre site is very limited over the Festival weekend, the nearest Disabled parking spaces can be viewed on Parkopedia.

Venue specific information

Brewery Arts Centre

Our Basecamp Village at The Brewery Arts Centre is fully accessible.

The Box Office and Standard Theatre are located in the Brewery Arts Centre foyer and are fully accessible.

The cinema screens within the Brewery are situated on the top floor of the building and are fully accessible via the lift, with wheelchair access in every screen.

The Warehouse Café is on ground floor level with a fully accessible toilet.

The Grainstore Restaurant and VATs bar are on the upper levels of the main building and can be accessed via the lift or externally using the ramp.

All external staircases are short, have handrails and are interspersed by landing areas.

The main building has a lift to all four floors and the cinema has a lift between all three floors.  An internal ramp connects the two buildings on level 4.

Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on all floors.

Assistance and guide dogs are welcome.

An infrared audio system is available in both Cinema Screens 1 and 2.  Customers will need to use our necklace loop for hearing aids to work in the ‘T’ position. A separate headset is available if customers do not have an induction loop compatible hearing aid. Induction loops are in place in the Theatre.  Please ask for assistance on the door.

The Abbot Hall Social Centre is situated on one floor and our events are fully accessible.

There is a loop system to assist those hard of hearing in the Main Room.
