We’re delighted to announce the films within Collection C.

Bob and Marion have done so many miles and marathons between them and continue to run within marriage and ‘maturity’, mountain bikers and parkour artists race from London to Paris with wheels and feet negotiating the same streets. Sasha Digullian battles injury, wildfires and 9000ft of rock wall to shift 'what matters' along the way

Limitless chronicles the story of Jezza Williams, from life as a rogue adventurer to a life-changing accident that left him a C5 tetraplegic. Positivity bursts from every fibre of his being. He’s been to some dark, wild places yet it seems the journey is just beginning. He now runs an inclusive adventure tourism business who's mission is to make adventure sports accessible to all.

North Country

In the rugged White Mountains of northern-New Hampshire, Lahout’s has remained open 365 days a year since 1920. While technology and conglomerates have stripped the country of local, independent retailers, a family of Lebanese immigrants has prevailed for a century, beating the Great Depression, World War II, Dot Com Crash and Great Recession. This film tells a timeless short story of the American dream and the family that put a community on skis.

Bike VS Parkour

DEVIN GRAHAM / Parkour / Adventure

Bike vs Parcour. London to Paris. Who will take the victory?

Thabang Madiba somehow found his way into the world of trail running and in the last few years has become everyone’s favourite in the South African trail scene. He lives in Ga-Rankuwa township, without a mountain in sight… or a physio, chiro or dietician for that matter. But through hard work, dedication and passion, he has won the South African Trail Running Championships and was the first black South African to represent the country in Trail Running. A hero in his community he inspires a new generation of youth.

Circle of the Sun

LENA STOFFEL / Surf / Snow

The movie Circle of the Sun takes you on an almost surreal journey to Norway. It describes one circle of the sun. One day of magic. Steep mountains and the ocean, the sun and the aurora borealis. Skiing and surfing in one day.

TOMMY JOYCE / Climbing

Professional Climber, Sasha DiGiulian, sets out to become the first woman and second person in history to complete “Rocky Mountain Trilogy;” a compilation of three of the hardest 5.14 big walls in the Canadian Rockies.

Film Tickets

For 2019, due to popular demand, we’ve swapped our day film passes to individual film session tickets. This gives you full flexibility of our programme, so you can choose the exact sessions you’d like to see. More info on this decision here.

We're working hard to make our Festival fully accessible, and there are dedicated spaces reserved for wheelchair users in our venues with the exception of the Fleece Inn. Unfortunately within the Fleece Inn the cinema space is situated on an upper floor with no lift access. To ensure nobody misses out on the action, all film screenings held at the Fleece Inn, will also be held at other venues. For more information head to Festival Accessibility.

If you're wearing a lightweight, high-performance windproof or waterproof mountain garment, there's a good chance it'll be constructed using Pertex fabrics. Founded in 1979 near Burnley, the company has steadily grown from humble beginnings into an iconic fabric technology brand, creating technical fabrics mainly used in garments and sleeping bags.  Being so close to its outdoor users, Pertex has increasingly chosen to communicate stories through the medium of film. Its six-part series Elemental Journeys explores stories from people whose lives are defined by wild spaces and mountain adventures. At Kendal, we're proud that Pertex is the presenting sponsor of our International Film Competition.
