Introducing a brand new venue in Basecamp for you to discover – this is a safe safe for quiet contemplation, home to morning meditations, and free-to-attend sessions on connection, belonging, and pilgrimage. Presented by the Methodist Church.

FRIDAY 21st

9:30 - 10:15 Morning ContemplationEach morning, before the bustle of the festival begins, join us in the Refuge tomeditate and contemplate. Together we’ll calm our minds and centre our souls,preparing to journey as pilgrims through the day ahead. These short times ofcontemplation offer a refuge of peace, a grounding in community and a reminder thatevery step is sacred. *

11 - 11:45 Beyond the View: Seeing with Deeper EyesWe often see what’s immediately before us – but what might we discover if we lookbeyond the view? In this session we’ll explore how nature and adventure invite usinto experiences that reach past what our eyes can capture. We’ll engage with thesacred in nature through simple but powerful practices such as coming together toform a communal cairn of remembrance for those who have made sacrifices for us,giving thanks for them and for the provision of nature.*

13:30 - 14:15 Thin Spaces in Big PlacesSometimes, the vastness of the mountains, the openness of the wilderness, or thequiet of a wild place can awaken a sense of something greater – a ‘thin space’ wherethe ordinary feels touched by the divine. Together we’ll reflect, notice and explore thesacred threads woven throughout the landscape around us.*

16:00 - 16:45 Celebrating the Beauty of the Earth Through Story and Craft – Family SessionCome and celebrate the beauty of creation! Through storytelling, we’ll journey fromlight to land, sea to sky and hear how everything was made good. Families can thenexplore nature’s colours and textures by creating their own ‘mini masterpieces’inspired by creation.*

18:00 - 18:45 Mountain MelodiesUnwind and gather as the day draws to a close with live music in the Pilgrims Refuge.Share the joy of song, meet new friends, reconnect with old ones and let the melodiescarry you into a reflective, celebratory evening in the heart of the festival.

SATURDAY 22nd

Join us for this creative session where you will journeywithin to design your own mindful labyrinth. A deep thinking, highly relaxing andprofoundly insightful practice.*

11:00 - 11:45 The Wilderness Within: A Story JourneyStories have the power to take us beyond what our eyes can see, opening pathwaysinto wonder, mystery and discovery. Together we’ll gather around a fictional wildstory that invites us to walk with our imagination through wild landscapes and sacredencounters. Together we’ll pause, question and see what stirs up in us.*

13:30 - 14:15 Pilgrim People: Journeying with PurposeEvery step we take tells a story. Pilgrimage is not just a journey across landscapesbut also a journey within ourselves, learning as we travel to lean into mystery,wonder, discovery and the divine. Together we’ll learn from pilgrim traditions, sharestories of journeying through wilderness and daily life and consider how the path notonly guides us but shapes us as we go.*

15:30 - 16:15 Near Death Experiences: Is There Something More?Moments at the edge of life often awaken profound questions: Is there somethingmore? What lies beyond what we can see and feel? In this session, we’ll hear storiesfrom those who have been to the edge and come back. Exploring how suchexperiences speak to the human longing for meaning and for what lies beyond thehorizon of life.

*18:00 - 18:45 In Conversation with Ben FogleExplorer, broadcaster and writer Ben Fogle has journeyed to some of the most remoteand awe-inspiring places on Earth. In this conversation we’ll gather as community tohear stories from Ben’s adventures and reflect on what wilderness can teach us aboutpurpose, connection and the sacredness of creation.

SUNDAY 23rd

11:00 - 11:45 Finding Refuge: Mindful MeditationsAs the festival begins to draw to a close, join us at the Pilgrim’s Refuge as we take amoment to pause, breathe and reflect. Through the practice of meditation, we’ll stepaway from the noise and into the stillness, reflecting on the road travelled so far andthe steps ahead. This is a drop-in session with new meditations taking place at 11,11:15 and 11:30am.

13:30 - 14:15 Paths We Share: Community in the WildernessWhile wilderness can inspire awe and solitude, it also offers a powerful reminder thatwe are not meant to journey alone. In this session, we will gather around fire andbread, together exploring how shared experiences of nature foster connection,belonging and a sense of community, hearing stories from those who have foundintentional community in the wild.
