We are Kendal Mountain Festival

Every November, we bring thousands of outdoor enthusiasts from across the globe together to share and celebrate the best stories from the world of adventure. Stories of human endurance, breathtaking environments and soul-stirring journeys. We live for adventure. Join us

Our history:

Kendal Mountain Festival began in October 1980. The dream of a group of like-minded mountaineers – Alan Evans, Jess Stock, Ian Wall, John Porter, Jim Curran and Brian Hall who wanted to create an annual celebration of climbing and mountaineering.

Our heritage is in the mountains but we believe the spirit of adventure can be found and nurtured in everyone and in every landscape. With a playful and inclusive outlook we have grown to become a highly respected international mountain film and adventure festival.
