Dave has a habit of doing things differently. As a record-breaking adventurer he is best known for Expedition1000, an ongoing mission to take on twenty-five different non-motorised journeys, each over 1000 miles in distance. He's completed fourteen of these, so far. Dave also leads a movement and community called SayYesMore. If his enthusiasm for simple living, the power of adventure for good and the glorious pursuit of enjoying Mondays isn't enough to get you ready for a new challenge, nothing will.
CAMEL FINDS WATER
Trevor found the hull of an abandoned fishing boat in a field. He brought it home and built it back to a sea-worthy state over the course of a summer. Then, he took it on its maiden voyage to British Columbia in search of waves.
BOYS FROM THE BACK OF BEYOND
They say it takes a village to raise a child... But it takes an extraordinary village to raise a pair of Olympians. In 2016 brothers Gary and Paul O'Donovan became the world's unlikeliest Olympic heroes when they won Ireland's first ever rowing medal. Hailing from tiny Skibeereen, west Cork, this is the uplifting and comedic underdog story of how a rural community took on the elite sport of rowing.
In 2018, Courtney Dauwalter battled for two days and 205 miles on the steep, dry Tahoe Rim Trail. Lack of sleep, race mishaps and a relentless competitor pursued her as she was pushing her limits, running towards the overall victory. You can learn a lot about yourself when a race goes well, but you can learn even more when it all goes sideways.
SKETCHING THE ALPS
Running through the Alps it is important to stop and smell the roses... or at least sketch them.
A captivating exploration of fear, mentorship, and deep water soloing in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam with psicobloc pioneer Tim Emmett and competition climber Kyra Condie.
TURN OF MIND
“Going up on a splitboard, slow by nature, you start to gaze around. With not much to do, your mind wanders freely.” Intrigued by a deep connection with nature, Patagonia ambassador Nicholas Wolken spent time in the Swiss mountains with his splitboard, good friends and an open mind. He shares his story in the film: Turn of Mind
LIFE OF PIE
