WHAT WOULD IT TAKE TO FLIP BEYOND YOUR LIMITS?
In this collection, an old, washed-out boat is the key to a secret surfing lake, a ‘small’ female Sumo wrestles tradition for the right to take the ring, skiers adapt to take to the heights of the alps, and Leo Houlding grasps the wind by the teeth to reach the end of the earth.

Film Tickets
For 2019, due to popular demand, we’ve swapped our day film passes to individual film session tickets. This gives you full flexibility of our programme, so you can choose the exact sessions you’d like to see. More info on this decision here.
Accessibility
We're working hard to make our Festival fully accessible, and there are dedicated spaces reserved for wheelchair users in our venues with the exception of the Fleece Inn. Unfortunately within the Fleece Inn the cinema space is situated on an upper floor with no lift access. To ensure nobody misses out on the action, all film screenings held at the Fleece Inn, will also be held at other venues. For more information head to Festival Accessibility.

THANKS TO PERTEX
OUR FILM PROGRAMME PRESENTING PARTNER
If you're wearing a lightweight, high-performance windproof or waterproof mountain garment, there's a good chance it'll be constructed using Pertex fabrics. Founded in 1979 near Burnley, the company has steadily grown from humble beginnings into an iconic fabric technology brand, creating technical fabrics mainly used in garments and sleeping bags. Being so close to its outdoor users, Pertex has increasingly chosen to communicate stories through the medium of film. Its six-part series Elemental Journeys explores stories from people whose lives are defined by wild spaces and mountain adventures. At Kendal, we're proud that Pertex is the presenting sponsor of our International Film Competition.
