Ed Drummond: A Tribute presented by DMM
A very special tribute to Ed Drummond, one of the greatest characters ever to grace the British climbing scene, who died earlier this year.
Drummond, who appeared at Kendal in 2011, was the visionary - and occasional rule-breaker - who pioneered routes such as Linden (Curbar), A Dream Of White Horses (Gogarth), and his tour de force The Longhope Route (Hoy). He combined philosophy, talent and a greatly individual approach to leave an immense physical and literary legacy. Curated by filmmaker Paul Diffley, this tribute will feature short re-enactment films and reminiscences of Drummond's routes by leading climbers accompanied with live electronic music (modular synthesiser) by Tim Cross and live reading of Ed's poetic writings about some of his most famous and bold climbs.
